Cholesterol Experiment Days 35 – 39
Ehh…. I’ve been lax lately in not posting, mainly because how exciting is it to read what is eseentially the same posts over and over?
Suffice to say I’ve been taking my supplements, jogging my miles and lifting my weights over the last few days precisly as I took them, jogged them, and lifted them since the start of the experiment.
The only noteworthy news is that on Friday (Dec 4th) I squeezed out the requistite 2 tubes of blood for my cholesterol screening. I hope to get the results tomorrow.
Today I also donated blood, which resulted or will result in a few things:
- I got a free hat
- I’ll get confirmation of my cholesterol numbers
- I squeezed out my pint in 4 minutes and 59 seconds, which the guy said was pretty darn fast
I did fast for the December 4th screening. Today’s blood donation was unplanned, in that the guy next me me said, “The Bloodmobile is here today” and I said “Let’s go”. This was about 2:00 in the afternoon and I’d been eating my CBO during the day. It will be interesting to see if there’s any significant difference between the two readings.
I have to confess to dietary slippage since Thanksgiving. I’d say I’m not running my 80% strict anymore, I’m probably more down around 60. For the most part, I still eat the CBO during the day, but I’ve begun eating regular meals at night and doing more snacking, including ceral and sandwiches, which I need to stop. I’ll buckle down and get that back on track.
Stay tuned for my first cholesterol experiment results!
