About
I’ve been watching my cholesterol creeping up and up every year.
When I was in my mid-20s, I ate pretty much whatever I wanted, had under 10% bodyfat and a total cholesterol of 160. Now at 44, even with a life long committment to fitness, I find my cholesterol pushing 240, with low HDL (the good stuff) and high LDL (the bad stuff).
On my last visit to the family doctor, he wanted to put me on Lipitor. I wasn’t ready for that. So this blog is to chronicle my efforts to lower my cholesterol without having to resort to statins.
By posting my efforts, I hope I can help some other people learn some things they might be able to do to lower their cholesterol adn improve their lipid profile.
