Here’s a quick and easy breakfast recipe for people looking to add calories. Obviously this is for lifters trying to gain, not cut.
First mix:
- 1 Cup Quaker Instant Oats
- 1 Cup Whole Milk (whole milk is 3.25% fat)
Microwave for 1 minute then mix in:
- 1 heaping Tablespoon Butter
- 1 heaping Tablespoon Brown Sugar
- 1/2 Cup Raisins
Some raisin alternatives: jam or jelly, apple sauce, blueberries, cranberries, blackberries or cut up strawberries, peanut butter, chopped banana
Microwave another 30 seconds and enjoy.
Wash it down with:
- I cup whole milk
- 1 scoop of your favorite whey protein
Total calories and macros for the oatmeal and shake and are around:
- 1,100 calories
- 30g fat
- 155g carbs
- 50g protein
